An alternative option to a GP
If you don’t have a regular GP or would prefer to speak to a health professional other than your regular GP about your drug use, there is a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL service available called S-CHECK CLINIC. S-Check provides a free, discreet and confidential health check for people who use stimulants (i.e. methamphetamine, cocaine and ecstasy) and is as easy as making an appointment over the phone. You don’t need a Medicare card or ID.
Your free stimulant health check includes:
Comprehensive psychological, emotional and social health assessments with a counsellor, feedback reports and a takeaway resource kit.
Access to a Medical Practitioner to assess, discuss and explore concerns related to your physical and sexual health and your stimulant use.
Information and support around harm reduction strategies specific to your drug use.
24 hour telephone support line.
Referrals and support in accessing other services.
Who can use the service?
People over 18 years of age and who use methamphetamine, cocaine or ecstasy, be it occasional, recreational or more frequent use. The S-Check service is LGBTI friendly.
How to use the service?
Simply call 02 9361 8079 to make an appointment. The service operates Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
